Going to Cagliari #

On our way to Cagliari, we took a gravel road which turned out to be more of a hiking trail. It was still a very beautiful walk. In Cagliari we walked around at night, exploring the old town and the harbor area.

Following the east coast #

From Cala Gonone, we cycled over Sardinias highest mountain pass, Passo di Genna Silana. We stayed for a few days in the small village Arbatax, which is located at a beautiful bay.

Hello, Sardinia! #

From Civitavecchia we took the ferry to Olbia. Arriving early in the morning, we cycled only 30km to San Teodoro and called it a day. It was the perfect place to chill out for a few days, with a beautiful beach and scenic coast views. Next stop was Cala Gonone, a small tourist village further south.

After Siena we cycled to Lago Trasimeno, then Lago di Bolsena. Our destination was Civitavecchia, to catch a ferry to Sardinia.

Siena #

The way to Siena was very hilly and super scenic. Every climb we took got honored with a fantastic view over the Tuscan landscapes. In Siena we stayed for two nights. We explored the city and went to the Siena Awards photo exhibition.

Firenze #

From Bologna we made our way to Firenze, with a stopover at Lago di Suviana. We stayed at a nice campsite in Fiesole with a great view over Firenze. The city itself was nice, although still completely overrun by tourists in October.

Bologna #

Next stop: Bologna. We got some big city vibes here. Lively, multicultural city with lots of art.

Verona #

We planned to stay in Verona for two nights. In the end we were there for eleven, because we got super ill. Nice city and all. The campsite, located in an old castle ruin, is super beautiful. There could be worse places to get stuck.

From Bozen we cycled further south to Verona with a small detour along Lake Garda.

Bozen #

Sep 22, 2023 - Sep 23, 2023

From Latsch, we cycled to Bozen as fast as possible through heavy rain. We arrived at the perfect campsite after such a day. No hassle, hot shower and a cozy cellar to hang out! In the evening we even got pizza. In the morning we had to say goodbye to Time, who went back home.

Another day another mountain pass. This time over a perfect tarmac switchback mountain road. After a brief visit to Switzerland, we went back to Austria, to reach our destination for the day: Latsch, Südtirol, Italy.

Today was the first big mountain pass. Altitude: 1212m, mostly over gravel roads.

On the first day we cycled into Austria and finished in Heiterwang. It was a nice scenic day!

Train ride to Landsberg #

It is time to cycle again! This time, Time is joining us to cross the alps. Afterwards we will be exploring Italy. Tuscany first, then maybe Sardinia? We will see! On the first day, we took many trains to Landsberg am Lech, our starting point for the journey! We arrived in time to set up our tents, and get a nice dinner at the cozy campsite restaurant.
